Firmhelm Limited is a family run business that commenced trading in 1977 and is now established as the leading repair and servicing yard in the Northwest and Wales.
Firmhelm operates from two sites namely the original site at the Outer Harbour where facilities include 3.000 square feet of undercover workshop space. Secure onshore storage facilities with electricity and water available and boat hoists for up to 20 tons as well as rigging shop and chandlery stores.
At the Pwllheli, Marine Centre Site, the facilities include boat hoists of up to 40 tons and a further 3,000 square feet of workshop space where craft of up to 70 feet can be worked upon undercover. We have secure onshore storage facilities with water and electricity. We also provide a large two-storey retail department holding stocks of the leading names in chandlery and marine leisure wear.

Established in 1986 by Chris and Gunna Chown Plas Bodegroes has been at the top of Wales' restaurant scene for many years.
In the 20 years since it first opened the restaurant, has gained top awards from all of the leading guides. It is one of only two Michelin Stars in Wales, an Egon Ronay Star, and 6/10 in the Good Food Guide.
Its reputation is based upon the modern interpretation of traditional dishes, concentrating upon the superb local ingredients.
The restaurant is open for dinner Tuesday - Saturday (also Sunday on Bank Holidays), and for Sunday lunch.

CK was founded in 1904 when Carl Kammerling left the company PLS where he was apprenticed to set up a new company in Wuppertal, Germany.
Five years after his father’s death, Wilhelm Kämmerling buys P.L.S as the two companies are doing similar work and serving the same markets.
All 8 premises in Wuppertal are destroyed in a bombing raid. The family evacuate to Melningen which later falls behind the Iron Curtain and the company is closed down. The business is re-established in Wuppertal in 1947 and in 1951 opens a UK office in Chiswick, West London. In 1954 the business is re-located to Pwllheli with a total staff of 6 people.
After successful development the business becomes a Limited Company with a staff of around 50 people and following the death of Wilhelm Kämmerling in 1967, Arnold Kämmerling and Marion Ingeborg Meyerratken take over the reins.
With a staff of over 100 people the company is the largest private employer in Pwllheli. In 1993 the company gains International Quality Standard ISO 9002 and Arnold Kämmerling is awarded the M.B.E.
In 2000 the company move into C.K House, a custom-built 37,000 sq ft warehouse and office building, and 2003 sees CeKa Works Ltd and Carl Kammerling GmbH & Co. KG form a partnership to become Carl Kammerling International Ltd. Achievement Wales Award for Employer of the year. Arnold Kämmerling awarded Achievement Wales Award - Business Person of the year.
